System Got Stuck at Dracut: Switching Root

Hello,

One of our Exadata Database server system got hung at below error while booting.

ILOM Console

dracut: Mounted root filesystem /dev/mapper/VGExaDb-LVDbSys1
dracut: Loading SELinux policy
dracut: SELinux: Could not open policy file <= /etc/selinux/targeted/policy/policy.26: No such file or directory
No such file or directory
dracut: Switching root

When I check, found the configuration files are missed under / filesystem.

For correction the problem please take the system to rescue mode as below link.

How To Boot Exadata Database Derver with Diagnostic ISO Image 

Mount the root filesystem manually, since the /etc/folder not there, need to mount manually as above link. 

Copy back the content to /etc/ folder, In this case, [otherwise, need to compare the / filesystem folders with identical/similar system ]

cp -rp /root/etc/* /etc/

Exit from rescue mode and boot the system normal. Please also check metalink Doc ID 2572422.1
